ReadID technology for identity verification

Inverid is the market leader in NFC-based identity verification technology. Companies and governments worldwide use our ReadID software to verify identities remotely and reduce identity fraud. In doing so, we make life easier and more secure. Customers include banks like ING, Rabobank, and ASB Bank (New-Zealand), government agencies like the UK Home Office and digital online/signature services including itsme, SK ID Solutions and Digidentity. 

Inverid is growing rapidly and is entering a new phase in its development. We’ve expanded our Enschede-based HQ with a tech hub in Valencia and a sales centre in London. We are currently a group of around 65 employees with 17 different nationalities. The working language within Inverid is English. 

Your job

  • As Service Director you lead our Services Unit, which is one of the four units we have. The other units are Marketing & Sales, Product and Engineering. 

  • You’re part of our Management Team and report to the CEO.  

  • This is a new role. The CEO has been Service Director a.i. 

  • The Services Unit consists of Service Delivery (including support), Onboarding and Customer Success Management. There are currently 6 colleagues in the Services Unit and this is expected to grow. Everyone in the Service Unit has a technical background, through education (BSc, MSc or PhD) and/or past work experience. 

  • You negotiate contract extensions and amendments, or supervise people in the services units doing the negotiations, supported by our Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer when needed. 

  • You’re responsible for the execution of our Account Management policy. You help us grow to more and also smaller (long tail) customers. 

  • For indirect customers, you coordinate with our Partner Manager who is in the Marketing & Sales unit. 

  • You are directly responsible as business lead for some of our bigger accounts (banks, government customers etc), really building a trusted relationship with those customers. 

  • You make sure we keep being a scalable business by keeping customers ‘ReadID as-is’, i.e., our standard product, T&Cs and processes. You can navigate the tension this can sometimes bring. Of course, we expect to you bring ideas for new features to our Product Unit, evolving ReadID as-is. 

What do we expect?

  • You have a MSc in a relevant field such as computer science, data science, computer security, Business & IT or software engineering. Or you have a BSc and supplement this with relevant experience to demonstrate a MSc level. 

  • You have worked in a product/SaaS company in a services role for at least 10 years, and at least 5 years in a lead role in which you supervised colleagues. 

  • You have experience with security sensitive and high availability services. 

  • You have a hands-on attitude, you’re not only the director but also are directly responsible for part of the activities of the services unit (in Dutch: ‘meewerkend voorman’), with a focus on being business lead for some of the larger customers and taking point with escalations and incidents. 

  • You have a clear affinity for identity verification, ideally with experience in a similar industry and/or relevant sectors. 

  • You have a clear view on multilevel stakeholder management for large corporate and government customers. 

  • You do not need to be the technology super expert, but you do have a wide technical expertise so you can multi-level with customers and understand technical issues (security implications, need to escalate etc). You can interact with technical colleagues in and outside of the Services Unit. This includes things like native mobile app development, security & cryptography, machine learning & AI, SaaS and cloud. 

  • On the legal, compliance and contract side you know the basics of contract law and privacy law, and preferably also financial and eIDAS regulations. 

  • Good command of the English language (both writing and speaking). Dutch is preferred. 

  • You work at least 3 days a week at the head office in Enschede.
