Research Engineer/Architect Identity Verification
Inverid is the market leader in NFC-based identity verification technology. Companies and governments worldwide use our ReadID software to verify identities remotely and reduce identity fraud. In doing so, we make life easier and more secure. Customers include banks like ING, Rabobank and ASB Bank (New-Zealand), government agencies like UK Home Office and the Danish Digital Agency, and digital online/signature services including itsme, SK ID Solutions and Digidentity.
Inverid is growing rapidly and is entering a new phase in its development, we’ve expanded our Enschede-based HQ with a tech hub in Valencia and an office in London. We are currently a group of around 65 employees in a multi-cultural team with 17 different nationalities. The working language within Inverid is English.
As our research engineer you will contribute to creating innovative new products and prototypes we envision in our roadmap for identity verification. We love individuals with fresh new ideas that are well-founded, who are not shy of experiments, and will work closely with the rest of the team. Depending on your seniority as a research engineer, you report to the Head of Product or to a team member in the Innovation team.
As research engineer/architect you are part of our Innovation team, working on new digital identity products and services that go (far) beyond what ReadID offers today.
You like research but are intrinsically motivated to have impact: a good idea is important, but impact means transforming this idea into a product that people use.
A core topic for Inverid is Identity Wallets, allowing a more decentralized and mobile approach to digital identity. We need to adapt our product, create new ones and consider new business models in this world.
You will also working on more machine learning based product innovations.
You work with the product team and the engineering teams.
The job is open both for junior and senior people, but a hard requirement is a relevant technical university degree (MSc, PhD), typically computer science, software engineering, computer security or similar.
For experienced applicants (>10 year), a BSc can be sufficient.
If you recently graduated you have at least a MSc, with good grades.
For senior persons: you have worked as researcher, (lead) developer or (lead) architect or similar, in an innovative organization.
You are an expert in some, and a generalist in all of these fields: mobile, SaaS, cryptography, digital identity, machine learning.
Good command of the English language (both writing and speaking).
You work at least 2 days a week at the head office in Enschede.
