Technical Writer

We are looking for a Technical Writer to expand our business for our innovative mobile identity verification technology ReadID. Someone that helps making our APIs and best practice understandable for our customers, enabling them to make easy to use and trusted identity verification solutions.

Inverid (formerly known as InnoValor) is the first and leading provider of NFC-technology for mobile identity verification. Companies worldwide use our software to verify identities remotely and reduce fraud. Customers include banks like ING, Rabobank, and ASB New Zealand, government agencies like UK Home Office and the Danish Digital Agency, and digital signature services like SK ID Solutions and Digidentity. Our software is widely recognised as leading in its field.

Inverid is growing fast and is up for a new phase in its evolution, opening international development and sales hubs, and expanding all development teams. We are the winner of the FD Golden Gazelle (mid-sized companies) for the fastest growing company and is one of the 250 fastest growing scale-ups in the Netherlands. We are located in the Netherlands (Enschede), with offices opening this year in London and Valencia. We currently are a group of about 50 people with 12 different nationalities, working in three development teams and an R&D team. Language in the company is English, therefore.

Your Job (in headlines)

• Lower the barrier for customers to implement our products

  • Work with the different stakeholders in the company to make the documentation consistent, easy to understand, complete and without errors. This includes our API documentation and technical guides for developers
  • Edit our technical documentation portal
  • Become the point of contact for our team regarding our external documentation
  • Write support documentation, such as blogs, articles, onboarding flows, and more

Your Job (more in detail)

• Communicate and coordinate with members of the development team on the external API and technical documentation

• Structure and add to our portfolio of documentation to create a top-to-bottom explanation of our products

• Develop, write and edit product documentation and related materials

• Proofread and review new documentation submitted by members of the development, CloudOps, service delivery or onboarding teams

• Assist in incorporating customer comments and markups into existing documentation

• Select or create photos, drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts to illustrate written material

• Review and update existing documentation that may be outdated or otherwise incorrect

• Work in teams to identify and prioritise writing tasks, and to set and meet deadlines

• Is responsible for document management and knows how to set up and manage it

As a Technical Writer you will be joining our multinational highly skilled team of developers that cover various disciplines and technologies. You are part of that team. We belief that close cooperation is the key to a high-quality product offering. Cooperation is facilitated by our friendly working environment and flat and informal local based structure. Ideas for solutions are brought to the table by everyone and jointly discussed and explored. Furthermore, we have a very diverse and multinational customer base with their specific (technological) challenges, hence never a dull moment.

What do we expect?

  • Minimum a Bachelor (or equivalent) degree, preferably with a technical line of study

  • Proven experience in technical writing in the software industry
  • Preferably knowledge of Android development (Java, Kotlin), iOS development (SWIFT), REST, JSON, XML and/or security.
  • Preferably native-level English (in speaking and writing) or experienced English (tech)writer
