Inverid (since November 2022 the new name of InnoValor) is the market leader in NFC technology for mobile identity verification. We are based in the Netherlands (Enschede), with new offices in Valencia and London. We currently have 50 employees with 12 different nationalities. The working language within Inverid is English.

Your Job

ReadID consists of a mobile part (SDKs and a ready-to-use app) and a server-part. The server is hosted as SaaS, with a REST API, management portal and web hooks. In addition, we orchestrate with parts with complementary services to provide an integrated service to our customers.

The core part of your job is to make sure that the ReadID architecture is secure, scalable and future proof, which includes being responsible for defining the internal and external APIs.
With the security team, analyse and reduce security risks that may exists on the architectural level.
With the development teams (the different Product Owners, lead developers and Engineering Director), agree on the internal and external APIs.
With the CloudOps team, align on how the ReadID Server is deployed in AWS (currently) and using Kubernetes (ongoing development).
Advise the Head of Product on possibilities to improve ReadID and balance between adding new functionalities vs architectural improvements.
Creating important reference documents to ensure consistency and clarity internally and towards customers.
Incidentally participate in customer meetings to explain our architecture and APIs, and get direct input from customers on possible feature requests and/or API changes.

What do we expect?

An university (MSc or PhD) degree in computer science, software engineering, computer security or similar.
At least five years experience as an architect in a security-sensitive SaaS environment, preferably with a native mobile front-end.
Experience with public cloud (preferably AWS) and Kubernetes.
Good command of the English language (speaking and written).
Security is important to you, in technology, organizational and in processes.
